Come and Gone

So my due date has come and gone (I was due yesterday) and it doesn't look like she wants to come out to see what goes on here in the world!!! I am scheduled for my induction on Monday, so I guess if she doesn't want to come out on her own she will have no choice come Monday. We are getting so antsy and just want to meet and hold her. Cory asks me everyday "is she coming today?" and I always say "I don't think so." because I just don't feel like it is going to happen. I wish she would prove me wrong :o) My mom will be coming to AZ tomorrow so she will be here for Monday's big event. The part that makes me so sad is that my sister can't get off work to be there Monday. With the mix of hormones and being so sad she won't be here, I cried and cried yesterday. I never, ever imagined my sister not being there the day I delivered my first baby and now she won't be there (so there will be no pictures of her holding her niece minutes/hours after she is born in the hospital, just breaks my heart). I love it here in AZ but it sucks not living in the same city or state as my family. We will keep everyone updated on her arrival as soon as she makes her grand entrance. If it is 3 am we will wait and let people know the next day :o) Wish us luck!

3 days & Counting

Today is June 7th and I am due in 3 days - WOW!!!!! But to be honest I don't see her wanting to come and meet everyone anytime soon. Went to to doctor last Thursday and there were no changes (still 3 cm and 50% effaced). My doctor said if I haven't had her by Sunday June 14th I would be scheduled for an induction on June 15th. I received a call from her nurse on Friday and my induction has been scheduled for June 15th in the afternoon. I guess if she doesn't want to come on her own before then we at least know that we will get to meet her either June 15th or 16th! So I guess it may be more like 3 days to a week and counting!

Today is also National Cancer Survivor's Day and I am happy to be apart of a team that has the privilege of taking care of kids with cancer!!!

One week to go!

I can't believe we have one week to go!!! There were a couple of nights when we thought it was going to be the night we would get to meet her, but the contractions came and went. Cory's guess is she will be here this Thursday (June 4th) and my guess is she will be here late (June 15th - 5 days late). I am hoping his guess is right! The pictures are before and now pictures of her room (it will be finished when my mom and sister get here as I always imagined they would help me get the baby's room ready). The picture of me is at 38 weeks.

Dr Appt

So today I went to the doctor and she said everything is looking good (besides my poor swollen feet!). She thinks maybe I shouldn't work anymore but I have to try and make it to at least June 2nd so I can get my time off paid when I am on maternity leave. Today I was 3 cm and 50% effaced and she said I could go any time now ("tomorrow and 1-2 weeks, one never knows" she said)!!! I have my next appointment next Friday and will keep everyone updated!

3 weeks and Counting!!

So I am almost there!!!! 37 weeks with 3 weeks (or less, hopefully not more) to go!! I am feeling pretty good, not sleeping as well, but everyone keeps saying my body is getting ready for the baby to come and for getting up every 2-3 hours. Today Cory and his great friend Rodney are getting the baby's room complete with a chair rail. Thanks to Design Solutions Painting for painting the baby's room, it looks perfect! As soon as everything is in I will post pictures.

I want to thank my wonderful friends here in AZ for a beautiful baby shower on May 3rd. I could not have asked for anything more, it was perfect and so me! The pictures above are from that shower. Thank you to Emily, Tracy, Amy and Nicole and to EVERYONE who came.

34 Weeks!

Wow 34 weeks!! I was in New Mexico this past weekend for a baby shower given to me by my mom, Aunt Delilah and Aunt Elva and it was AMAZING!!! There were so many people there to "shower" me and this little girl will not go a day for a long time without something cute to wear! It was a very short trip but it was so great to see my mom and family/friends.

8 weeks and counting!

So I am officially 32 weeks (as of yesterday) and feeling pretty good. I am getting nervous we only have 8 weeks to go and we haven't decided on a name and her room isn't ready, people keep telling me it will all fall into place and I sure hope that is true. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Here I am at 32 weeks!
