10 Weeks to go!!!

So today I am 30 weeks and have 10 weeks +/- to go. I am feeling good for the most part, I have some back pain here and there and if I am up too long on my feet my legs will start hurting. I have been having what I assume are Braxton-Hicks contractions, which makes this even more real than I already know it is! One of the best things about all of this is when Cory asks me how "his baby is doing?" or "what is she doing now? He is getting so excited and seeing it in his eyes and hearing it in his voice is wonderful.
He is already a proud daddy!

Congrats to my brother Kevin and sister-in-law April on their new arrival (Aiden) on
Thursday March 26th. Also want to wish Kevin and my nephew Austin a Happy Birthday tomorrow! Love you all!

12 weeks and counting!

So today I am 28 weeks, which means I have 12 weeks give or take. According to the bump.com she is the size of an eggplant (about 13.6-14.8 inches in length and 1.5 to 2.2 pounds). I am still in awe when she moves - it is such an amazing feeling and sight! Cory and I are just so excited to meet her. We went last week to tour the maternity floor at Banner Gateway and it was a beautiful place. They said every time a baby is born they play Brahms Lullaby throughout the hospital! I can't wait to hear that while I am there, it will not only be motivation while I am in labor but something I will never forget as part of the whole experience. So for those of you who want belly pics here is another - I have the same shirt on so you can see the difference from the last time.

Truly the Best!

Monday was not a great day for me (LONG STORY) but when I got home and after I had some emotional times (pregnancy hormones don't help when you have had a bad day) I saw the baby move for the first time!!! Like I have said before I can feel her move inside but to actually see my belly move made me forget about my awful day! This was truly the best feeling EVER! I called Cory over to see her move and to see his face light up was also wonderful! 98 days left according to the bump.com and I will be counting them down til I get to see her!!

26 Weeks

Holy moly 26 weeks already! Time seems to be flying by so fast! We are getting more and more excited everyday. We went to register the other day and it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, trying to figure out what she needs and what she doesn't. She is going to be a soccer player for sure (not that her daddy would have it any other way), she is very active and I am going to miss feeling her move around and kicking, but having her in my arms will be even better! Besides writing about my pregnancy I am going to start writing about what (and posting pics) is happening in Cory and my life while living here in AZ. I hope everyone is doing well.

24 Weeks!

Wow 24 weeks today and I can't believe how fast this is going. Had my monthly OB visit on Thursday 2/12/09 and the doctor said everything is going very well! I just love going to hear the heart beat, it is the greatest sound right now. I wish I could listen to her heart beat everyday. I hope everyone had a happy Valentine's (heart) Day yesterday, Cory and I just hung out on the couch and it was nice.

22 Weeks and the size of a Papaya

"Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop. Average Fetus is 10.5-11.8 inches & 12.7-20.8 oz." Thanks to the bump.com I can keep everyone up to date on the size of the baby as she grows. Emily asks me every week "what is she now" and last night I honestly didn't know. When you don't have the internet it makes things not so easy (at least for me)! So Em here is the answer :o)

21 Weeks and half way there!!!

Babycenter.com has this to say about being 21 weeks: "How your baby's growing: Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well." Things are going great!! I feel good for the most part, some nausea and a few headaches but not as bad as week 10-13. I am still in awe of the movements I can feel and it makes it all more real. Can't wait until Cory can feel her move too! I still can't believe how fast this seems to be going, I am half way there!!! I just can't wait to see her. We had another ultrasound last Monday and as soon as I can I will post pictures - and it was confirmed that she is a she!!!!
