Thankful!

I worked yesterday so I didn't have time to post what I am most thankful for. I am thankful for my family, friends, the wonderful job I have and the people I work with (who are also some of my closest friends), oh also the brave kids I get the honor of taking care of when at work. And this year I am so THANKFUL for being pregnant when we didn't think it could happen without the help of fertility drugs (which I never did get the chance to take)!!!! We won't know what the sex of the baby is until about the first week of January and it couldn't come soon enough (especially for Cory). Here is the first real glimpse of our baby (the first ultrasound we had at 8 weeks looked like a tadpole and these look like the real deal)!!

12 Weeks!!!

So am officially 12 weeks today!! Wow 3 months already and on to the 2nd trimester. I am no longer nauseated, but have traded it for headaches. Not sure which one is better - I am trying not to take any medications and I take a nap when I have one of my headaches (well that's only when I am at home) and that seems to help. It's nice to be able to actually eat and not feel sick. Still loving Sonic cherry limeades and my new thing is Velveeta Shells and Cheese for dinner. We have our second ultrasound on Weds Nov. 26th and I can't wait to see him or her again. I will post pics of the ultrasound as soon as I can. I will also post pics of me later - the ones I have so far Cory said when taking the picture "you don't even look pregnant, so why are we taking them?" I had to explain that I wanted pics to show the progress of the pregnancy and since my mom and sister aren't here to see me everyday (and my friends/family that don't live in AZ) I wanted them to have pics of my progress too. Speaking of Cory - he has been so great! I am sure with all my crazy hormones he thinks "what is going on?" I have been known to just start crying and he just holds me and says "I wish I could do something to make it all better!" I am so lucky to have him in my life! He is going to be such a GREAT DADDY!!!!

10 Weeks!

So today I am 10 weeks, only 30 more to go! First I am going to knock on some wood (knock,knock) and say that I woke up this morning feeling good!!! I really hope this lasts! I actually ate yesterday without feeling like I was going to be sick. Sometimes I think Cory feels I am starving his poor baby, he keeps telling me "you have to force yourself to eat!" He even tells me I am doing a good job when I do eat :o) Sonic Cherry Limeades are my new drink of choice and anything with carbs I will/can eat. Need to add some variety to my diet, but I am just happy I can eat what I can, even if it is the same things over and over!

Why can't the man be pregnant???!!!

"Nausea and vomiting can be one of the first signs of pregnancy and usually begins around the 6th week of pregnancy. It can occur at any time of the day, and for most women it seems to stop around the 12th week of pregnancy." - American Pregnancy Association. This may be TMI for some of you but I truly hope that in 3 weeks my nausea will be LONG GONE!!! They call it morning sickness but mine is all day long and the thought of food makes me so ill! I told a friend the other day "Why can't the man be the one who is pregnant?" and she said "OMG! Cory pregnant? He couldn't handle it!" Krisite, I think you are right, but this part of pregnancy I could sure do without. Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween weekend!
